Microset replication can be used to detect and monitor micro-cracking in nonmagnetic materials where magnetic particle inspection is impossible. It is particularly useful for in service situations where other defect assessment methods are impractical or where they have given inconclusive results. The magnified visual image of a suspected defect provided by Microset can facilitate its identification and importance. |
