Information
Microset
is a system designed specifically for producing accurate 3D replicas
of underwater steel surfaces. The system consists of:
1. Cartridges containing a synthetic rubber and curing agent
2. A nozzle which is used to mix and direct the flow of the compound
onto the surface
3. A pneumatic gun which dispenses the cartridge of compound through
the nozzle.

101SS Compound
Microset
101SS is supplied in cartridges ready for immediate use. The compound
is thixotropic and can be applied directly to horizontal, vertical and
overhead surfaces. Simple plastic sheet moulds are sometimes necessary
for difficult situations. The curing time for Microset 101SS is 12 minutes
at 5ºC. Higher water temperatures significantly reduce the curing time
and slower curing versions of the compound are available for warm water
applications.
Microset 101SS cures to form a strong, blue, flexible rubber and is
capable of reproducing fine surface detail. Replicas are dimensionally
stable and can therefore be stored for long term monitoring and comparison
purposes.
